A new genus and species of tachinid flies from Iran (Diptera, Tachinidae, Goniini)

Susamyia Ziegler & Gilasian gen. nov. and its type species mira et sp. are described from southwestern Karkheh National Park southeastern Jazmourian Wetland of Iran. Drawings terminalia head the male as well images habitus, egg provided. is incorporated into identification key to Palearctic tachinid genera Tschorsnig Richter (1998). The systematic position in tribe Goniini (Exoristinae) discussed light molecular analyses based on ribosomal genes 16S, 18S 28S, females. morphology microtype eggs was studied compared with that other Goniini, but proved too unreliable be included phylogenetic analysis. believed most closely related goniine Gymnophryxe Villeneuve, 1922, Palesisa 1929 Prosopodopsis Townsend, 1926.
